Engineers from Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the north of England’s gas distributor, have now restored gas supplies to approximately 100 homes on Otley Road, Harrogate following a loss of supply on Friday (19 January).
The problem was caused by water finding its way into the gas network. The water had to be located and pumped out, in order to restore normal gas pressure in the pipes.
Richard White, Business Operational Leader for Northern Gas Networks, said: “I’d like to apologise for any inconvenience the loss of supply caused for customers and thank them for their patience and cooperation during this time.”
