UPDATE FROM NORTHERN GAS NETWORKS RE: STOCKTON-ON-TEES GAS MAIN REPAIR

Work to repair a gas main on Durham Road in Stockton on Tees has been completed this morning by engineers from Northern Gas Networks.

Engineers worked throughout last night on the repair, following a gas leak.

The work required a road closure on a stretch of Durham Road from the roundabout at Harrowgate Lane to Junction Road – but the road is now reopened and traffic flowing normally.

A spokesperson from Northern Gas Networks said: “Our thanks to motorists for bearing with us during this essential repair.”
